Under Withwit, Erki and Freija realized the sculpture “The Walker” together. The starting point was the representation or an interpretation of the mental peace that a certain place can offer. An environment or landscape as an initiation of overview and introspection. The insitu work was installed in an apartment located in the mountains of Crans Montana, Switzerland. 'The Walker' shows a figure in a structure made of brass. Different frames whether or not covered with Plexiglas can be rotated around the figure in varying positions. The figure itself can also occupy different positions. The work was placed at the window. The environment outside thus reflects in the work. The mirror image draws the mountains from all around inward into the living room. Thus, depending on the angle of the glass surfaces and the reflections from outside, the walker is literally framed in a different environment each time.
