The installation and series of collages “droomrest” derive from a collection of ideas about different stage-sets for theater plays where objects, sculptures and animals form a surreal whole in strange combinations. The different elements of the installation feed on each other thus gaining their own meaning. Van Esbroeck uses the recurrence of water as a vibrating, binding factor between the different forms.
