Onland is a short film about a place where black earth comes to life due to the actions of three different characters: ‘the picker’, ‘the girl in the earth’ and ‘the coverer’. The physical appearance of a character is determined by his specific way of treating the earth: a repetitive movement towards the earth. In an ultimate fight the character or alter ego tries to control the black earth in order to use it as a weapon against another. They all perish in the end. Live action and stop motion are used alternately to describe the setting and the three characters,
